AboitizPower, through its private limited partnerships GNPower Mariveles and GNPower Dinginin, leads the Baka1Bataan mangrove adoption and protection program, a community-based environmental program aiming to restore and safeguard coastal habitats in Bataan.
Through the revival of mangrove sites in Orani and Samal towns, communities are helping protect coastlines, while generating livelihood. The program also inspires the next generation toward a more resilient and sustainable future.
Said initiative also earned a Silver Award for Sustainability Communication in the Public Relations Program category at the 61st Anvil Awards, organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines.
