The Baka1Bataan: Mangrove Adoption and Protection Program of the Provincial Government of Bataan in partnership with AboitizPower subsidiary GN Power Mariveles Energy Center, Ltd. Co. (GMEC) and GN Power Dinginin, Ltd. Co. (GNPD) won a Silver Anvil during the 61st Anvil Awards at the Solaire North, Quezon City on January 28, 2026.

Baka1Bataan is a mangrove rehabilitation and protection initiative of the province, dedicated to safeguarding mangrove ecosystems involving the private sector and local communities.

Said recognition from the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) affirms the steadfast commitment to advancing Bataan’s environmental initiatives and programs, especially those that offer long-term benefits for the Province.

The Anvil Awards is the country’s most prestigious award-giving body in public relations. It recognizes and honors outstanding public relations programs, campaigns and professionals that have made a significant impact in shaping public opinion and driving meaningful change.
