
Balanga City bagged four awards during the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Pagmaya Recognition Program, which honors outstanding local government units for their achievements in cleanliness, peace, and order.
Mayor Raquel Garcia, accompanied by personnel from the City Agriculture Office and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), personally accepted the awards.
Also present during the ceremony were City Local Government Operations Officer Mildred Sazon and officials from the Lupong Tagapamayapa of Barangay Cupang Proper and Barangay Pto. Rivas Lote.
Balanga City was recognized for the following accomplishments:
- Lupong Tagapamayapa Regional Winner – Barangay Cupang Proper
- FishCA (Fisheries Compliance Audit) Regional Winner and National Nominee
- Regional Manila Bayani Awards (2nd Placer)
- Regional BECA (Barangay Environmental Compliance Audit) (3rd Placer) – Barangay Pto. Rivas Lote
The awards highlighted the city government’s strong commitment to effective governance, environmental protection, and community peacekeeping.
