Bataan cooperatives emerged as top achievers during the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region III “Koop Best sa Tres” Awards held on October 23, 2025, at Heroes Hall, San Fernando City, Pampanga. The province earned multiple recognitions for its outstanding cooperative programs and innovative local initiatives.

The Provincial Cooperative and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) Bataan received a Certificate of Recognition under the Provincial Best Practices Category for its pioneering programs — the Guidebook for Newly Registered Coops and the Geo-Tagging and Databanking System for cooperatives. These projects were cited for enhancing the province’s cooperative development framework and promoting transparency in data management.

Among the awardees were Cupang West Multipurpose Cooperative, which was named Koop Best sa Tres (Medium Category) Finalist; Cemba Multipurpose Cooperative, which won Best in Youth Program; and Watchlife Workers Multipurpose Cooperative, which bagged three major honors — Best Laboratory Cooperative, Best in Environmental Protection and Preservation Program, and Best Performing Cooperative (Large-Millionaire Category).

PCEDO head Ms. Ludivina “Ludi” Banzon lauded the achievements of the province’s cooperatives, emphasizing that the awards reflect the Bataan’s culture of teamwork, innovation, and shared excellence. “These recognitions highlight our collective effort to make Bataan’s cooperative movement a model of success in Central Luzon,” Banzon said.
