Plans are now afoot for the creation of a sustainable provincial transport masterplan to improve and modernize transportation facilities in Bataan.

Governor Joet Garcia, with representatives from municipal governments and different transport sectors met last October 22 with officers of Asian Development Bank and Ove Arup and Partners Hong Kong Ltd. at the Bataan Tourism Center to discuss the dissemination of findings of a workshop for the Bataan Transportation Diagnostic Study.

Ove Arup & Partners, a leader in building design and transportation infrastructure, is a British multinational professional services firm that provides engineering, design, and planning.

Gov. Garcia said the project is aimed at providing the province safe, speedy, and smooth flow of traffic that will redound to economic progress and well-being of the commuters.
