Hermosa expands cash incentive program for senior citizens

The local government of Hermosa continued its distribution of cash incentives to senior citizens aged 80, 85, 90, and 95 on November 21, 2025, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the community’s elderly sector. A total of 51 beneficiaries recently received assistance during the latest rollout, led by Hermosa Mayor Anne Inton.

Representatives from the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) Region III joined the distribution, including Marites Castro, Jonathan Dela Cruz, and Vilma Corcuera. Their presence underscored the strong partnership between the LGU and national agencies in implementing social welfare programs aimed at improving the well-being of senior citizens.

Hermosa’s cash incentive program is part of the municipality’s broader effort to uplift vulnerable sectors and recognize the contributions of older residents. The initiative aligns with national policies encouraging local governments to extend financial support to elderly citizens as they reach major age milestones.

Mayor Inton said the continuing assistance reflects Hermosa’s vision of inclusive growth and a community that values its elders. The program, she emphasized, is a testament to the town’s ongoing mission to build a compassionate and progressive Hermosa.
