Limay officials inspect proposed site for sports facility

The Municipal Government of Limay, led by Vice Mayor Grace David conducted a site inspection for the proposed Oval Track and Field and Sports Facility in Villa Leonor, Barangay Bo. Luz.

The inspection was carried out in coordination with the Sangguniang Bayan and the Department of Education–Limay, highlighting a collaborative effort among local stakeholders to advance sports and youth development in the municipality. Vice Mayor David said the initiative forms part of the shared commitment of the local government, alongside Mayor Richie David, to strengthen community-based facilities.

Joining the inspection were Architect Fatima from the Municipal Engineering Department and representatives from the Tourism Department, who evaluated the proposed location and discussed preliminary plans for the project.

Vice Mayor David noted that the planned sports facility aims to provide a safe and comfortable venue for athletic activities that will promote health, wellness, active lifestyles, and mental well-being, particularly among young athletes in Limay. The project is also expected to help develop discipline, confidence, and aspirations among future sports talents.

Local officials said the proposed Sports Facility brings the municipality a step closer to realizing its long-standing goal of establishing a dedicated sports complex that will serve both athletes and the broader Limay community.
