Municipal mayors and barangay officials were asked to prepare project proposals that would directly benefit their constituents. Gov. Joet Garcia in his speech during the consultative meeting in Clark, Pampanga last February 5 said the project proposals are necessary for budget preparation in 2027.
The governor acknowledged that some barangays have already prepared their respective comprehensive master plans from which the budget proposals shall be based.
Congressman Albert S. Garcia who was present at the said gathering made a similar appeal to municipal mayors and barangay officials to undertake careful study in coming up with projects directly beneficial to people in the community.
The Bataan Second District representative who is the senior vice chairman of House Appropriations Committee explained the intricacies of passing the budget for certain projects. He appealed to local government units (LGUs) to promptly prepare project proposals for next year’s national budget.
