In time for the celebration of Elderly Filipino Week, the Municipality of Dinalupihan held the 3rd Quarter General Assembly of Senior Citizens last Oct 6 and 7.

Mayor Tong Santos led the celebration, expressing appreciation for the invaluable contributions of senior citizens to the municipality.

The fruitful two-day gathering strengthened Dinalupihan’s commitment to providing programs that uplift the lives of senior citizens.

The event included birthday celebrations for senior citizens born from July to September, marked by singing and dancing, free meals, raffle draws, and the distribution of grocery packs.

The activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) under the leadership of MSWDO Head Cristina Banal, in partnership with FSCAP President Dante Javier, OSCA President Lolita Guirao, and Senior Citizen Chairpersons from various barangays.

Also in attendance were Vice Mayor Fer Manalili, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, municipal department heads, and Consultant for Social Services Ofelia Mendoza.

Mayor Santos emphasized the importance of honoring the elderly. “Each smile and laughter from our grandparents reminds us of the joy that comes from honoring their legacy of love and service to the community,” Mayor Santos said.
