In celebration of the 269th Bataan Foundation Day, the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) joined the province in the “Sinag ng Bataan” awards night, honoring individuals and institutions whose efforts continue to drive Bataan’s growth and development.

One of the major honorees was Mitsumi Philippines, Inc., which was recognized as Top 1 Taxpayer under the one-percent share from the five-percent Gross Income Earned (GIE) of FAB-registered enterprises for Fiscal Year 2024, highlighting its strong contribution to government revenues.

The award was received by Mitsumi Philippines General Manager Yoshitaka Kitahara, together with management team members Jun R. Fevidal and Kriscel Joy L. Junio, who represented the company during the ceremony.

AFAB officials commended Mitsumi Philippines for its consistent compliance and meaningful role in sustaining economic activity inside the Freeport, noting that taxes generated by FAB locators help fund public services and development projects across Bataan.
