AboitizPower and partners plant 1,000 bamboo seedlings

In celebration of World Bamboo Day and Philippine Bamboo Month, 60 volunteers planted 1,000 bamboo seedlings at the Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) Abucay Campus last September 18.

The initiative, held at the 5-hectare Abucay Bamboo Farm in Barangay Bangkal, brought together employees from AboitizPower’s private limited partnerships GNPower Mariveles Energy Center (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin (GNPD), along with representatives from the Provincial Government of Bataan’s Environment and Natural Resources Offices (PG-ENRO), the Bangkal Bataan Upland Farmers Association Inc. (BBUFAI), and BPSU.

The 7:30 a.m. event underscored a collective commitment to environmental sustainability and highlighted bamboo as a valuable resource for the province.
