The Abucay Municipal Council, led by Vice Mayor Roberto Pabustan Jr., kicked off the celebration of the “Buwan ng Pag-ibig” (Month of Love) on February 9 with a lively and cheerful event for local government employees.

The program aimed to bring joy and camaraderie among municipal staff while recognizing creativity and enthusiasm through a Valentine-themed costume contest. Prizes were awarded to offices that showcased the most charming and spirited outfits: first prize of ₱25,000 went to the Rural Health Unit (RHU), second prize of ₱15,000 to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and third prize of ₱10,000 to the Municipal Treasury Office. Consolation prizes of ₱1,000 were given to representatives from all participating offices.

Vice Mayor Pabustan emphasized that the celebration reflects the local government’s ongoing support for initiatives that foster employee morale, rights, and welfare, while reinforcing the commitment to serve the community.
