The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) led a vibrant morning of environmental action as it joined the International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) Day 2025 last Saturday, September 20, at Agwawan Beach, Barangay Sisiman, and Zigzag in Mariveles. Employees, FAB-Registered Enterprises, the local government of Mariveles, partner agencies, and volunteers came together to sweep the shores clean.
Each year, AFAB takes part in this global movement to highlight its deep commitment not only to protecting nature but also to strengthening the surrounding communities of the Freeport. As a hub of business and industry in the province, AFAB underscores that true progress comes hand in hand with environmental responsibility.
The event showcased the value of unity and collective action, reminding participants that small efforts along the coastline ripple into a larger impact for the environment. AFAB also emphasized that preserving natural resources remains vital to the growth and sustainability of businesses and livelihoods within the Freeport Area.
By once again standing shoulder to shoulder with volunteers and stakeholders, AFAB reaffirmed its pledge to promote harmony between commerce, community, and conservation — a balance that reflects the essence of responsible development in Bataan.
