In coordination with the Department of Agriculture and the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian, headed by Dr. Alberto Venturina, the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) – National African Swine Fever Prevention and Control Program (NASFPCP) is conducting the African Swine Fever (ASF) Information Caravan from September 24 to 26, 2025 at Crown Royale Hotel, Balanga City.
The 3-day caravan aims to raise awareness among stakeholders about ASF and promote effective prevention and control measures to help contain and minimize the spread and impact of the disease. Participants include provincial and municipal veterinarians, cooperatives, commercial and backyard farmers, hog raisers, traders and meat vendors.
Said event serves as a platform to strengthen collaboration between the government and the swine industry sector in responding to the ongoing threat of ASF.
The caravan will conclude with a parade on September 26, 2025, intended to further enhance public awareness and foster active community participation in ASF prevention initiatives.
