Former Hermosa Mayor Jopet Inton rallied on Thursday members of League of Municipalities of the Philippines Bataan Chapter to support the Bataan Baseco Joint Venture, Inc. amid the private firm’s struggle to seek tie up with private companies.
Inton made the appeal in his capacity as BBJV president and chief operating officer. In his jovial mode, Inton said the firm would venture into establishing Bataan Tourism Network from which the tourism master plan shall be worked out for implementation province wide.
“One of the steps is to promote local products. Kelangan paunlarin ang produkto natin,” he said. The initial move, Inton said, is to establish housing units that would benefit workers.
According to Inton, with the support of Governor Joet Garcia, Congressman Abet Garcia and Congresswoman Gila Garcia the project can easily take off in a matter of time.
He also revealed that the BBJV would be developing ports in the province more particularly in Mariveles-Limay area to spur development and growth.
