Officials of Dinalupihan, led by Mayor Tong Santos were briefed by the National Solid Waste Management Commission Executive Committee last month during the national deliberation on the 10-year solid waste management plan.

In a statement on social media, Mayor Santos said the move was aimed at exploring the possibilities in the implementation of waste management program aligned with the R.A. 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000.

The deliberation on the 10-year program discussed issues such as waste management, waste diversion strategies, community education and participation, and the environmental sustainability program in Dinalupihan.

Santos thanked members of Sangguniang Bayan, heads of municipal government offices and line agencies for their support to the program.
