The local government of Dinalupihan, in partnership with the Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF), conducted a dry run for the Busog Lusog Talino (BLT) Feeding Program on August 11 to ensure the smooth implementation of the initiative before its official launch. The activity aimed to test and refine the cooking, packing, and food distribution process for the program.
Preparations were held at the DES BLT Central Kitchen, followed by the distribution of meals to selected students from Dinalupihan Elementary School and Daang Bago Elementary School. The dry run was led by JGF Program Officer Takahiro Tateno, Provincial Nutritionist and BLT-BHSS Program Coordinator Gabriel Ibasco, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Dolores Mangulabnan, and BLT kitchen staff.
The activity also received strong support from Dinalupihan East District Supervisor Ruel Lingad, DES Principal Jane Robles, DBES Principal Efren Espiritu, Dr. Jennifer Alip (Dentist II), Nutritionist-Dietician Margaritte Guzman, Nurse II Ma. Lourdes Gabaya, as well as participating teachers. Their presence ensured that both logistical and nutritional aspects of the feeding program were properly addressed.
The BLT Feeding Program, supported by JGF, aims to address malnutrition among schoolchildren by providing nutritious meals. The official implementation is expected to benefit more students in the municipality as part of Dinalupihan’s commitment to health and education under its “Serbisyong May Ngiti” advocacy.
