Mayor AJ Concepcion on Monday led the groundbreaking ceremony for a new building of LMI Integrated Formation and Education, Inc. in Barangay San Isidro, signaling a renewed investment in the education sector of the municipality.
In his message, Mayor Concepcion emphasized the project’s role in preparing the town’s youth for the future. He said the construction represents a “bright future” for students of Mariveles, consistent with his administration’s commitment to education and youth development.
Established in 1951 as Llamas Memorial Institute, Inc., LMI is recognized as the first secondary school in Mariveles. For more than seven decades, it has produced professionals who have excelled in government service, the sciences, the arts, and various other fields.
Now operating as LMI Integrated Formation and Education, Inc., the school continues to promote holistic learning through programs that focus on character formation, competence, and compassion. Its presence has remained vital in shaping the academic and social foundation of the community.
The construction of the new building in San Isidro is expected to modernize the school’s facilities, expand learning spaces, and strengthen the delivery of quality education for future generations in Mariveles.
