Mobile soils laboratory caravan to aid Abucay farmers

The Municipal Government of Abucay, led by Mayor Erik Martel, announced the rollout of a Mobile Soils Laboratory Caravan offering free soil testing services to local farmers from April 14 to 17 at the Abucay Arcade.

The initiative aims to help farmers determine the actual condition of their soil, enabling them to identify the appropriate type and amount of fertilizer needed for their crops. Local officials said the program is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen agricultural productivity in the municipality.

According to the announcement, participants will also receive expert recommendations based on the results of the soil analysis. The service is expected to help farmers avoid unnecessary expenses on fertilizers while improving crop yield and overall income.

Farmers are advised to bring clean soil samples properly stored in plastic or containers.
The local government encouraged participation, emphasizing that the program supports sustainable farming and aims to boost agricultural development across the community.
