The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has identified five challenges in its operation– transmitting power from generators to electricity end-users.
As a jump-start in its aggressive information campaign, the NGCP initiated a media briefing through the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) and local media practitioners from Bataan and Zambales provinces.
In his briefing, Engr. Fernando B. Guillen, NGCP’s district senior manager, NLOM District 5, identified the challenges as undue interference, requests for rerouting, right of way, protracted permitting processes, and regulatory delays.
Marylen D. Carolino, government relations affairs division officer, was the program moderator. She thanked the media for the successful briefing event.
