ORANI, Bataan, July 28 — The municipal government of Orani will formally open the Himlayang Bayan ng Orani, a public cemetery that will provide free burial services to all qualified residents, Mayor Jon Arizapa announced on Tuesday.

Arizapa said the initiative aims to ensure that every resident is given a dignified final resting place while easing the financial burden on grieving families. He described the project as part of the local government’s commitment to delivering compassionate and people-centered public services.

The municipal government said families seeking burial assistance at the Himlayang Bayan must submit a death certificate, a certificate of indigency, and government-issued valid IDs of both the deceased and the applicant to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) for processing.
