Carlin Pizarro, an 8-grader at the Bataan Montessori School took center stage at the 46th Southeast Asian Shooting Association (SEASA) Championship held in the Philippines. Competing against the best marksmen in the region, Carlin’s outstanding performances brought pride not just to her family, her school and our province but to the nation as well.
During the competition, she earned the respect and admiration of the sports organizers, as well as fellow competitors, thus earning the moniker “the mighty lady”.
Her string of victories included:

• Champion, SEASA Lady Standard Shoot-off
• Champion, SEASA Mixed Team
• Champion, Philippine Open Standard Lady
• IPSC Medal Winner
Her dominance across both individual and team events underscored her exceptional skills in practical shooting, a sport that demands pinpoint precision, speed, and mental agility. The event, held at premier venues such as the Magnus-Frontsight Firing Range in Lipa City, attracted over 300 shooters from Southeast Asia, Australia, and beyond.
As a key member of the Philippine shooting team, Carlin played a vital role in the country’s overall success. Her achievements at the SEASA Championship not only elevated her status in the shooting world but also brought immense pride to Pilar and the entire province of Bataan. These victories set an optimistic tone for the Filipino team heading into the 2025 SEA Games.
The 46th SEASA Championship celebrated not just the skill of shooters but also the unity and sportsmanship that define the sport. With Carlin leading the way, the Philippines has much to look forward to in future international competitions.
