
Around 70 historians and descendants of the 2nd World War visited significant war memorials in Bagac, last February 14.
The Bagac Tourism office in its social media post said the group of history enthusiasts from the National World War II Museum based in New Orleans, USA held a 1 kilometer memorial walk from 0 Kilometer to Kilometer 1 to show respect to the bravery and sacrifices of Bataan Death March veterans.
The group also visited the Filipino-Japanese Friendship Tower, the town’s famous landmark and the Battle of Tuol Pocket as part of its “World War II In The Philippines” educational tour.
The American historians were scheduled to visit more historical sites in other parts of the province. The Bagac municipal government led by Mayor Ron del Rosario welcomed and thanked the group for the visit.
