In order to propel Orani town to progress, road links must be first established amid fast-pace development in the entire province.
This was disclosed by Mayor Jon Arizapa who said Orani is now developing its own economic zone to aim for possible influx of prospective investors.
The move aligns with the program of Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) to establish freeport zones in every municipality of Bataan.
A neophyte Mayor known for his political campaign slogan “Maiba Naman,” the straight forward talking town executive works silently without the aid of overwhelming publicity. “Sa totoo lang ayoko munang ipamalita ang mga projects natin. Pag nandiyan na lang saka tayo magsalita.”, Arizapa said in an interview.
He worries, however that Orani does not have a single factory to boast for now, to generate employment for thousands of tricycle drivers. Many unemployed barangay folks depend on farming and fishing. “Hindi tayo nangangarap nang malaki, katamtaman lang,” Arizapa said.
