The Provincial Government of Bataan, through the Provincial Tourism Office and the Bataan Peninsula Tourism Council Foundation, Inc., organized its first-of-its-kind tourism trade showcase, “TUKLAS Bataan: The First Bataan Tourism Expo,” held October 9–11, 2025 at The Event Center of SM City Bataan.
The three-day event, themed “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation,” served as a flagship Tourism Month activity that showcased the province’s destinations, culture, and locally made products while promoting responsible travel practices.
The opening program was led by Vice Governor Cris Garcia, who affirmed the province’s commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism. A program highlight was the conferment of special recognitions, including the Tourism Pillar Awards for Local Government Units and the Tourism Beacon Award for the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region III headed by Regional Director Dr. Richard Daenos. All 11 municipalities and the lone city of Bataan, along with schools, partner agencies, and tourism stakeholders, participated in the three-day activity.
