The Municipality of Pilar is gearing up for a vibrant and colorful celebration of the Kasinagan Festival 2025 led by Mayor Charlie Pizarro and the local government unveiling a packed schedule of religious, cultural, and community activities from October 1 to 18.
This year’s festivities carry the theme “Ina ng Liwanag, Tanglaw at Pag-asa ng Buong Bayan,” honoring the town’s patroness, Nuestra Señora del Pilar. The celebration kicks off on October 1 with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Municipal Covered Court and will feature a variety of events ranging from motor shows, live concerts, and talent competitions to the much-awaited Grand Marian Procession on October 4 and the Parada ng Bayan on October 11.
Highlights of the festival include the Kasalang Bayan and Job Fair on October 7, the Pasiklaban ng Zumba-Yanang Pilar on October 6, and the Holy Mass with Fireworks Display on October 12. The festival will culminate on October 18 with the Kasinagan Music Festival Night at Doña Victoria Road, showcasing the town’s passion for music and community spirit.
Mayor Pizarro encouraged Pilar residents and visitors to take part in the celebration, describing the festival as “a showcase of faith, hope, and unity.” He said the Kasinagan Festival is not just a town fiesta but also a symbol of shared heritage and collective pride for all Pilarians.
Other major attractions include the Motor, Trike, and Car Show on October 5, the Gabi ng Saya at Musika on October 8, and the Pa.Sa.Kalye Street Fest on October 9. Organizers said this year’s edition promises to be one of the most memorable fiestas in Pilar, blending devotion with entertainment and community engagement.
