Rescuers and personnel of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) shall have learned a lot about hazard map reading and other valuable information after undergoing training on georisk platforms.

Bataan Board Member Romano “Popoy” del Rosario, chair of committee on peace and order and public safety, said the seminar held last August 14 at the Bataan Tourism Pavillion was attended by city and municipal DRRMO personnel.

Del Rosario emphasized the crucial role of rescuers and MDRRMO personnel in times of calamities in saving lives and properties. “Pero malaking hakbang ang paggamit ng GeoMapperPH at GeoRisk platforms upang mapalakas ang kakayahan ng ating mga LGUs at ahensya sa pagtugon sa sakuna sa pamamagitan ng sophisticated and scientific data for safety of the community,” explained Del Rosario.

He urged the PDRRMO, the rescuers and even ordinary citizens to join the “action” to enhance the resilience and disaster preparedness for the safety of everyone.
