SM City Bataan Hosts “Mukhang Ibon, Sayaw Ibon”

As part of the vibrant celebration of the Ibong Dayo Festival, the City Government of Balanga, in partnership with SM City Bataan, proudly staged the “Mukhang Ibon, Sayaw Ibon” dance competition. The event showcased the creativity and talent of elementary students from six schools in Balanga City.

Held at SM City Bataan, the competition featured lively performances inspired by the theme of birds, with students presenting dynamic choreography and imaginative costumes that represented various bird species found in Balanga. Beyond dance, the event became a platform for young learners to express artistry through props and costumes that brought to life the city’s rich avian heritage.

Balanga is renowned for its migratory birds, particularly in Barangay Tortugas, where species from different parts of the world flock annually. The festival and its activities serve as a celebration of this natural treasure and a reminder of the city’s ecological and cultural identity.

By supporting the Ibong Dayo Festival, SM City Bataan reaffirms its commitment to the community, culture, and environment. As the “most loved mall” of the Bataeños, SM continues to be more than just a shopping destination—it is a hub for cultural pride, artistic expression, and community unity.
