A total of 385 residents of Mariveles will benefit from the TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the initiative of Bataan 3rd District Representative Gila Garcia.
An orientation was held on June 19 at the Brgy. Alion Covered Court in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to formally introduce the beneficiaries to the program’s guidelines and benefits.
In her message, Congresswoman Garcia emphasized the importance of environmental protection through the “Trash to Cash Back” project. “Through this project, we not only create livelihood but also help promote a clean, safe, and healthy environment,” she said.
The orientation was also attended by Mariveles Vice Mayor-elect Jesse Concepcion, ABC President and Brgy. Alion Punong Barangay Al Balan, and DOLE Focal Person Maria Eloisa Mercado, among others.
