Mariveles is gearing up for its 78th Liberation Day celebration, with a calendar of events from February 3 to 26.
The festivities will mark the liberation of Mariveles from Japanese occupation during World War II and will feature a diverse range of activities for people of all ages to enjoy.
The celebration will kick off with a Civic Parade on February 3, followed by a Thanksgiving Day on February 4.
The DepEd High School & College Night on February 5 will offer students the chance to showcase their talents.
From February 6 to 9, a Cooperative Fair will take place, providing an opportunity for local cooperatives to display their products and services.
Other events throughout the month include a CSO’s Dance Contest, Gabi ng Kabataan, Senior Citizen Night, Date Night, and WW2 Commemoration Landing in Mariveles.
The Natatangi at Huwarang Mariveleño Awards Night on February 16 and the LGU Night on February 17 will recognize outstanding citizens and local government officials, respectively.
The 23rd Inter-High School Sports Festival and the DepEd Elementary Night on February 18 will showcase the athletic abilities of Mariveles’ students.
Music lovers will have plenty to look forward to, with events such as the Invitational Singing and Dance Contest, Pilipinas Got Talent: Mariveles Edition, Music Festival, Serenata, and Mariveles Liberation Concert.
A Fiesta Street Dance Competition and Mutya ng Mariveles 2023 will also take place throughout the month-long celebration.
Free entrance will be provided to all events, making it accessible for everyone in the community to participate and celebrate.
