DA grants P15M for AITC rollout

Forty-five (45) farmers from Dinalupihan, Hermosa, Morong, and Balanga City signed a memorandum agreement with 1Bataan Agriculture Innovation and Technology Center (1Bataan AITC) last September 7 as the Department of Agriculture grants P15 million for the rollout of AITC.

1Bataan AITC is a Public-Private Partnership project of the Provincial Government of Bataan with an Israeli company, Agrilever Ltd., which aims for high-value crops diversification and modernization for clustered small farmers in the province.
Starting with ten (10) farmers in 2020, AITC is now working with 55 farmers in 55 hectares of land for the dry season from 2022 to 2023.

DA Sec. William Dar personally visited some of the pilot farms in Dinalupihan last February 19 as Dinalupihan Mayor Gila Garcia presented the concept of the project. The pioneer farmers of the project have already harvested tomatoes, chili, watermelon and other high value crops. VINNISE
