Mandate

Pursuant to RA 7160 and RA 9593, the Provincial Tourism Office is mandated to provide efficient and effective essential services through tourism development and promotional programs as an engine of socio- economic growth and cultural affirmation to generate investment, foreign exchange, and employment and mold an enhanced sense of national pride for all Filipinos.

Mission

Excellent delivery and service of tourism experience concluded with the culture of tourism.

Vision

To become tourist-friendly province that is anchored on the interdisciplinary approach while ensuring the preservation of the province’s culture and tradition, and natural resources.

Duties and Functions

  1. STANDARDS, REGULATIONS AND TRAINING DIVISION
    Pre-assess and guide the compliance of  accommodation establishments to the minimum requirements for accreditation and facilitate the conduct of trainings to capacitate the industry’s work force.
  2. PLANNING AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
    • Conduct studies, prepare and submit proposals to the concerned national agencies, research various laws, executive orders, circulars and memorandums, prepare reports, and formulate provincial tourism development plans.
    • Conceptualize and develop new tourism products to enhance tourism sites and facilities, prepare
      proposals for programs, projects, and activities, and establish alliances and network with concerned
      government agencies and institutions to broaden and deepen awareness of tourism research.
  3. MARKETING AND PROMOTIONS DIVISION
    Formulate marketing plan to evaluate projects for tourism development, collaborate with public and private sectors for tourism promotions, implement promotional tourism programs, and produce marketing collaterals.
  4. ADMINISTRATIVE DIVISION
    • Supervision of financial documents, human resource records and inventories of office supplies and materials, and implement team building and capability programs.
    • Maintenance of the Bataan Tourism Center and Park.

PROGRAMS, PROJECTS, AND ACTIVITIES (PPAs)

  1. Conduct seminars, trainings, and workshops:
    The Provincial Tourism Office, through the assistance of the Department of Tourism,
    conducts capability building trainings for the development and improvement of tourism
    products, skills, and services.
  2. Implementation of Digital Marketing through Social Media Account (Facebook Page) and
    website:
    The Provincial Tourism Office strengthens its promotional strategies through digital marketing by producing a series of materials, articles, and collaterals.
  3. Assistance to industry partners and clients for tourism programs:
    The Provincial Tourism Office assists researchers, students, tourists, guests, stakeholders, and local government units in gathering tourism data and implementing tourism programs.
  4. Monitoring and inspection of DOT Accredited Primary and Registered Tourism
    Establishments
    The Provincial Tourism Office, through the Standard Regulations and Training division,
    monitors and inspects the tourism establishments to ensure their compliance with the minimum standards for the operation of tourism facilities and services.
  5. Organize events
    The Provincial Tourism Office organizes events to deepen one’s appreciation of the local culture and history.
