In his 4th State of the Freeport Address (SOFA) today, October 22, AFAB Administrator Engr. Emmanuel Pineda mentioned that at least 100,000 jobs are seen to be generated once the 16 FAB expansion areas, in the province are fully operational.
These expansion areas range from agriculture, industrial, digital technology and township, located in 8 municipalities in Bataan.
Pineda also said that the expansion of FAB is a proactive response to the threat of coronavirus, as some are outside Mariveles.
To date, at least 19,300 workers in the FAB, are already vaccinated which translates to 78.9% of regularly reporting workers.
Engr. Pineda also highlighted that aside from weekly raffle draws with prizes to encourage workers to get vaccinated, registered enterprises also give incentives to fully vaccinated workers who are reporting for work.
