The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recently organized the “Likha ng Bataeños” Trade Fair, where 29 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) showcased their products.
The event, held from May 18 to 21 at WalterMart Balanga, aimed to connect exhibitors with the market, enabling them to expand their earnings while promoting the province’s finest products.
DTI OIC-Provincial Director Eileen Ocampo stated that the trade fair’s objective was to link exhibitors with potential customers, thereby boosting their income and highlighting the province’s best offerings. Native delicacies, handicrafts, processed foods, creative products, and agricultural goods were among the featured items. Over the course of the four-day trade fair, a total of P381,089 was generated in revenue. This accomplishment underscores the market’s interest and support for local businesses, as well as the potential for economic growth within the province.
In addition to organizing such events, the DTI continues to assist MSMEs through various means, including entrepreneurial training programs, product development support, financing facilitation, and market matching linkages. These initiatives aim to equip entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and resources to thrive in a competitive business environment.
