The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) recognized 30 outstanding companies in the annual Mabuhay Business Awards 2024, held recently at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center. The event celebrated the contributions of these locators to the Subic Bay Freeport Zone’s growth and development.
Out of 1,909 registered companies in the freeport, the awardees were selected for their exceptional impact on business growth, employment, and investment. Collectively, these companies provided jobs to over 162,000 workers and contributed to the P577.99 billion aggregate investments in the zone as of the third quarter of 2024.
Notable awards included the MSME of the Year, New Business of the Year, and Corporate Social Responsibility Award. Among the winners were MJY 88 Medical Clinic, La Banca Travel and Tours, Raizen Asia PTE. LTD., and the Philippine Coastal Storage and Pipeline Corporation. Special accolades such as the Eco-Innovation Award and Excellence in Occupational Health and Safety were also presented to Subic Smart Community Corporation and Tong Lung Philippines Metal Industry Co. Inc., respectively.
The SBMA emphasized that the awards reflect its commitment to recognizing locators who demonstrate economic contributions, sustainable practices, and community support. The honored companies also showcased notable achievements in delivering quality service and supporting the Subic Bay Freeport’s long-term development.
