Through the initiative of Board Member Tony Roman, Senator Pia Cayetano sponsored free Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) training for students in the First District of Bataan.
Roman used his personal link to the lady senator to request assistance for the district residents. Sixty-seven students are currently undergoing TESDA training. Thirty-two are currently enrolled in Bread and Pastry Production and 35 in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II. The training being conducted at University of Nueva Caceres Bataan in Dinalupihan is facilitated by Bataan Peninsula Educational Institution for Bread and Pastry Production and Acuna Technical Schools Inc. for SMAW.
Roman said each trainee gets P160 allowance per day. He added after the program, trainees will receive oven kit (Bread and Pastry Production) and welding kit (SMAW). Roman profusely thanked Cayetano for the TESDA training sponsorship.
