Sixty-seven scholars from Bataan first district graduated from free Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) training sponsored by Senator Pia Cayetano through the initiative of Board Member Tony Roman.
Thirty-two graduated in Bread and Pastry Production NC 11 and 35 in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II.
“Sa mga graduates ng welding magpursige kayo, magsumikap para makahap ng trabaho. Sa may kursong bread and pastry, maging business-minded, aggressive, at innovative, at napakahalaga ang marketing, tulad ko gamitin nyo ang social media”, said Roman during the graduation ceremony.
“Tumataya po ako sa galing ng mga TESDA graduates lalung-lalo na sa welding na kinikilala hindi lang dito sa atin maging sa labas ng bansa”, he said.
The training was held at University of Nueva Caceres Bataan in Dinalupihan facilitated by Bataan Peninsula Educational Institution for Bread and Pastry Production and Acuna Technical Schools Inc. for SMAW.
Graduates received oven kit (Bread and Pastry Production) and welding kit (SMAW). They got P160 allowance per day during the training. Roman and graduates profusely thanked Cayetano for the TESDA training sponsorship.
