In its continued effort to improve the health and well-being of its host communities, AboitizPower subsidiaries GNPower Mariveles (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin (GNPD) recently conducted another ‘MediKalinga’ mission in Sitio Dinginin, Barangay Alas-asin.
The medical mission aligns with the GMEC and GNPD Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative called “PROGRESS” that included providing communities access to health services.
“Tuloy tuloy ang ating ‘MediKalinga’,” said Reputation and Stakeholder Management (RSM) Manager Joseph Paolo Mendoza. About 100 residents availed of free medical and dental services held at Dinginin Health Center. Vitamins and essential supplements were also distributed.
Dr. Sherwin Durante Pontanilla, Rural Health Physician of Mariveles cited the importance of medical missions particularly in fur-flung areas like Sitio Dinginin.
Now on its third year of operation the recent ‘MediKalinga’ was the pilot project of AP subsidiaries GMEC & GNPD for forthcoming health activities with an allocated budget of 2.4 million pesos for 2025.
