Workers at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) have no reasons to get themselves entangled in a labor dispute of any kind since they are all well aware of their rights and obligations what with an open forum and dialogue being conducted by the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB).
One of such fora with the theme “The Key Building A Sustainable Employment Relationship and Productive Workforce” was conducted on May 30 where at least 100 union workers and human resources officers were gathered at the FAB auditorium. Initiated by AFAB in coordination with the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch III (RCMB 3), the forum had AFAB Deputy Administrator for Operations Michael Angelo G. Paderanga, who discussed the latest DOLE issuances, employee and employer rights in the workplace, work related accidents or injuries and the concept of ISTIV or the industrious, systematic, time conscious, innovative, and strong value for work. Interactions of this kind, between workers and AFAB officials are conducted to enhance harmony and protect the welfare and interest of FAB workers, Paderanga said.
