Administrator Engy. Emmanuel D. Pineda of the Authority of Freeport of Bataan and local officials led by Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia inaugurated last Monday the Mariveles District Hospital- Temporary Teatment and Monitoring (MDH-TTMF).
Located at the 1,512 square-meter area of Standard Factory Building No. 13 at the Freeport Area of Bataan, the facility will serve asymptomatic and mild patients of Covid-19.
Karen Balmaceda-Padaoan, AFAB senior information officer, said the primary objective of the facility is to supplement the existing health facilities of the province to accomodate the surge of number of patients needing care and hospitalization due to Covid-19.
The AFAB and the provincial government entered into a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Health and Philippine National Red Cross to operate the 76-bed facility under the supervision of Dr. Hector Santos.
