Orani Mayor Efren E. Pascual Jr.’s hands are full these days as he prepares for the celebration of “Araw ng Orani” on April 21.
Bishop Ruperto Santos of Diocese of Balanga said Most Reverend Charles John Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, will be in Orani for the anniversary of the parish church of Orani as Minor Basilica.
Thousands of Catholic faithful from neighboring provinces flock to Orani to renew their faith to the Most Holy Rosary, the town’s patron saint.
Pascual expressed his profound elation that such religious activities in his town will in any way propel its tourism potential since Orani has been reputedly known for seafoods like shrimps, crabs and other marine products.
He disclosed that Orani landed in the top 25 tax payers praising local business sectors as tax conscious who take the taxing obligation seriously.
On the health service aspect for his constituents, Pascual said the municipal government is going to put up a dialysis center in the old rural health unit in Barangay Parang-parang.
