Bahay Puso celebrated its 35th anniversary last June 15, 2024, by hosting a dinner concert at the Bataan People’s Center with the theme “Our House, Our Hearts, Our Honor.”
The event began with a mass officiated by Antipolo Bishop Ruperto Santos, followed by the recognition of the past members of the Board of Directors who helped hundreds of abandoned elders Bataeno or not, to find a home and receive care.
The concert featured members of the clergy accompanied by PUP Banda Kawayan, Koro Bangkal, and Jose de Piro Kabataan Orkestra.
“Sa loob ng 35 taon, ang Bahay Puso po ang nagsisilbing tahanan at pamilya ng ating mga lolo at lola, kung kaya ang Bahay Puso ay kaisa sa ating layunin na magkaroon ng mga matatag at makayang pamilyang Bataeño,” said Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III.
The concert also aimed to raise funds not only for programs and services for the abandoned elderly but also for the improvement of the facilities at Bahay Puso.
For those who have been actively helping the institution, the dinner concert was more than a celebration of Bahay Puso’s 35th year; it was a celebration of success, reminiscing the challenges they hurdled to build a home, and foster familial love for the elders.
