Balanga dance group competes in Dubai

This mostly-girls street dance group widely known in Balanga City, as Gboyzjuniors had been making waves in various competitions and lately is poised to join in World Supremacy Battlegrounds in Dubai come July.

The group composed of 14 girls and 4 boys started off in a dance class after the pandemic in 2022 under coach Jay Miclat. As they danced their way, Miclat sensed that the group had something that land them other dance competitions. True enough, the teeners won in series of competitions in the local scene.

But the big break for them came when they joined the “Barangay Sayaw” in Eat Bulaga noontime show where they emerged winner in the grand finals. It was in a way the group’s bold move to showcase their innate talent in group dancing.

On Nov. 23, 2024, the Gboyzjuniors won second place in Junior Division in the World Supremacy Battlegrounds (WSB) to qualify them in the national competition for WSB Dubai 2025. This coming April, the young street dancers will join the Hiphop International in Manila.
