Balanga City led by Mayor Francis Garcia and Vice Mayor Vianca Venzon-Gozon has been recognized by the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) for its exceptional initiatives in population management and development.

The city received the prestigious recognition during the Rafael M. Salas Kaunlarang Pantao Awards ceremony in San Fernando, Pampanga for creating a favorable environment that promotes responsible parenthood and reproductive health.

The province of Bataan also won the award from CPD. Other provinces and cities in the region were also awarded. The CPD Central Luzon cited it’s partners in advancing and championing population and development works in the region.
