A “first” in the province of Bataan, Banchetto which means banquet is a joint project of the Bataan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (BACCII), Dept. of Trade Industry (DTI) and the City of Balanga with Edmer Fabian of CEIDO and Councilor Jowee Nisay-Zabala of Trade and Industry and Tourism Committee , in support of our local SME’s in their journey to recovery.

In an interview with John Calugay, BACCII’s incumbent president, he said that, “ang Banchetto o piging, salu-salo sa Tagalog ay ginawa upang matulungan ang ating mga” pandeprenuers” o maliliit na negosyong nagsimula noong pandemya na magtuluy-tuloy na umangat at yumabong. Banchetto’s opening was graced by Vice Gov. Cris Garcia last Friday with 24 merchants on board, 18 food merchants and 6 non-food including local artists with their art works on display and for sale.

Mr. Calugay explained that part of the proceeds of the project from the different events which will run from Nov. 11 to Nov. 30 will be donated to the Bataan Gen. Hosp. and Medical Center- Pedia Ward and Bahay Puso as the group’s Christmas gift giving. “Banchetto, Iba ito” is being sponsored by PLDT-SMART, Hausland, Standard Insurance, PRO-Life and Camaya Coast.

Their most attended events were, acoustic night, Cosplay, Videoke night, senior citizens night, games and raffles and of course, the food are not only very affordable but really taste awesome.
