Bataan DFA Consular Office: A gateway to global connections

In a groundbreaking moment for the province, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Office in Bataan officially opened its doors to the public last, November 15, at The Bunker at The Capitol.

The inauguration was led by Governor Joet Garcia , Vice Governor Cris Garcia, and Bataan 2nd District Representative Abet Garcia, along with DFA Assistant Secretary Adelio Angelito Cruz and Director Conrado Demdem Jr. Representing Congresswoman Gila Garcia, her 3rd District Office Chief of Staff, Rollie Rojas; Board Member Tony Roman III; Bataan mayors and other officials also joined the historic event.

Strategically located at the 3rd floor of The Bunker, the DFA Consular Office is poised to provide convenient passport and consular services to Bataeños and neighboring provinces. Starting November 18 this year, the office will operate from Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., ensuring accessible and efficient service to the public.

“This marks another milestone in Bataan’s journey toward progress and modernization,” Governor Joet Garcia stated. “The establishment of this consular office not only brings vital services closer to our people but also underscores Bataan’s growing significance as a hub for government efficiency and innovation.” The DFA Consular Office is a significant addition to The Bunker, Bataan’s iconic government and business center, symbolizing the province’s commitment to providing world-class services.

Congressman Abet Garcia echoed the sentiment, saying, “This is another testament to Bataan’s vision of becoming a leading province in delivering quality services to its citizens.” With the new consular office, Bataeños no longer need to travel far for their passport needs or other consular matters—a development warmly welcomed by the community. “This is more than just convenience; it’s a step forward in empowering our people to connect with opportunities beyond our borders,” said Congressman Abet Garcia.
