Bataan is now fast-becoming a preferred site for benchmarking activities of other Local Government Units (LGUs) as well as civic and professional sectors functionaries.
In fact, no less than the prestigious Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) held its three-day seminar-workshop on “Course on Data-Driven Decision-Making for LGUs” last week at The Bunker.
Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia in his social media post, said the DAP decided to hold its seminar-workshop in the province because of the Provincial Government’s initiatives on digitalization and introduction of modern technology as important tools in achieving good governance.
The governor discussed with the seminar participants data-gathering system more particularly on crime incidents, price monitoring, traffic situation, finance management system, green mobility, and on-line processing of applicants and business permit renewal.
The mechanics behind the implementation of Bataeno Pass, a unified digital ID system to enhance proper citizen database system provincewide was also shared by Gov. Joet to DAP seminar participants.
