The Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) has recorded ₱17.3 billion in committed investments from May 2023 to May 2024, according to the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB).

Currently hosting 155 registered businesses, FAB has also expanded its reach with 17 new expansion areas across various towns in the province.

San Miguel Corporation emerged as the top local investor, committing ₱10.6 billion to expand its food processing and power generation facilities.

Among foreign investors, notable contributions came from GQ Horizon, a mold and lamination producer; Kirubai, a specialty detergent manufacturer; and Surex Safe Venture, a producer of safety apparel and harnesses, all of which invested significantly to enhance their operations.

The new expansion areas are expected to bring in an additional ₱1.13 billion in investments, further solidifying FAB’s role as a key economic driver in Bataan.
