Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III, led the launching of 1Bataan Fiber to Home Project last October 10, 2022, at Pagalanggang National High School in Dinalupihan.

Said program is in partnership with Converge, which aims to provide free access to Learning Management System (LMS) and other DepEd Websites.

Fifty five senior high students from Pagalanggang National High School were the first recipients of the said project.

“Sa pagtutulungan tayo po ay magkakaroon ng magandang kinabukasan sa pamamagitan ng Converge, sa pamamagitan ng sakripisyo ng ating mga magulang, sa pamamagitan po ng pag-aaral ng atin pong mga anak.” Cong. Gila Garcia stated.

In his message, Gov. Joet Garcia said, “Kaya po makasaysayan ang araw na ito dahil ngayon, totoo na, na ang bawat tahanan ng mga mag-aaral dito po sa probinsya ng Bataan ay paunti-unti mabibigyan na po natin ng Fiber to Home Internet Connection.”

Furthermore, according to Gov. Joet, 500 fiber internet connections will be placed around Pagalanggang National High School for the students and teaching force of the said school.

Also present at the aforementioned event were Converge CEO Dennis Uy, Congressman Gila Garcia, Congressman Jett Nisay, Vice Governor Cris Garcia, Mayor Tong Santos, Dr. Roland Fronda, Board Members of the Provincial Government of Bataan, Dinalupihan Vice Mayor Fernando Manalili, teaching staff of Pagalanggang National High School headed by Dr. Ara S. Velasco, and DepEd Bataan employees.
