Last May 5, 2023, the Provincial Treasurer’s Office, led by Provincial Treasurer Alicia R. Magpantay, along with the 11 Municipal Treasurer’s Offices and the City Treasurer’s Office, launched the second leg of the three-part motorcade for its Massive Tax Campaign through Public Address System for CY 2023 within the 2nd District (City of Balanga, Pilar, Orion and Limay) of the Province of Bataan.

The kick-off of this campaign was launched last April 28, 2023; with the motorcade going around the Municipality of Dinalupihan and the Municipalities of District 1- Hermosa, Orani, Samal and Abucay.

This was managed well with the aid of Treas. Cecilia S. Calixta of Dinalupihan, Treas. Rhodora L. Manalansan of Hermosa, Treas. Jacqueline I. Esquivel of Orani, Treas. Emilia P. Dela Rosa of Samal and, Treas. Vivian Q. Benamir of Abucay, along with their staff and barangay officials.

The motorcade for the second leg started at the National Road end of the Enrique Garcia Senior Avenue (EGSA) in the City of Balanga; drove through the main roads and various barangays within the district, and concluded at Brgy. Lamao in Limay.

With the assistance and support of the 12 Treasurers especially Treas. Joselito R. Evangelista of Balanga City, Treas. Fe P. Sagre of Pilar, Treas Marissa R. Tumalad of Orion, Treas Rosalinda A. Atienza of Limay, along with their staff, Barangay Officials, traffic aides from District 2, and the MBDA, the mobile campaign wrapped up with a success.

The main objective of this campaign is to maximize revenue generation for the province; particularly through the collection of Real Property Tax and Transfer Tax.

It is also to raise awareness among the province’s residents about their tax and to provide basic knowledge about the tax impositions of the Provincial Government of Bataan.

The third and final leg of the motorcade will be on May 12, 2023 covering the municipalities of Bagac, Mariveles and Morong.
